Every year, more than 3,000 Portland-area children transition through
foster care and adoption services. The process of fitting into a new
home is emotionally straining on kids, who have a limited support
network, and have endured physical or mental abuse, neglect, or trauma.
Without the support and outlet therapy provides, many of these children
find it difficult to move out of social services and establish healthy
relationships.
Since 1996, Kinship House has nurtured children and families with
outpatient mental-health services during the transition through foster
care and adoption.
With the help of the organization’s expert clinicians, who take a one-on-one, personalized approach to each case, 98% of the children Kinship House serves are able to successfully transition out of state care.
More than 450 children and families received outpatient mental-health
services at Kinship House in 2013, creating lasting familial bonds and
future stability.”

Donate Your Old Cell Phone
Mail or come by and see us to drop off your old phones. We recycle them
and give you a tax deductable receipt! Call; 503-460-2796 for more

Throw an Art Supply Party
Many of our champions have thrown both Adult and Child parties to gather
up art supplies for our kids to use at Kinship House. Last year we
served almost 350 kids, which is a lot of art!! Birthday parties,
barbeques, school community service project you name it, what a fun way
to do something worthwhile and tax deductable. Call us to talk about it;
